‍‍`Dhaka-Delhi ties got deeper thru bilateral tours‍‍`

Awami League presidium member and Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque said that Bangladesh‍‍`s relationship with India is at a very high level, which was bolstered through the bilateral visit. 

India‍‍`s prime minister said in a written statement that the two countries are passing through the golden chapter of their relations, he said at a press conference on Thursday (August 10) afternoon at the political office of the party president in Dhanmondi regarding the trip of an Awami League delegation to India.

Razzaque said, "A 5-member delegation of Bangladesh Awami League visited India from August 6 to 9 at the invitation of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Awami League delegation arrived in Delhi, India on August 6 and participated in various programs and held meetings with BJP leaders and important ministers of the Government of India on August 7 and 8.

“A meeting was held with Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, President of Bharatiya Janata Party, at his residence on the morning of 7th August. Political stability, countering militancy and regional cooperation were emphasized in the highly cordial meeting. BJP President Shri JP Nadda said that his party is interested in working with Bangladesh Awami League in the future as in the past for the sake of political stability and counter terrorism in the region," he added.

The agriculture minister said, "In the afternoon, there was a meeting with the General Secretary of the BJP Shri Vinod Thar at the BJP head office. In a very cordial meeting, Mr. Vinod Tade said that the current friendly relations between India and Bangladesh are at the highest level than at any time in the past. Our two friendly teams will work to keep this relationship intact.”

He said, "That afternoon in the Parliament of India, Foreign Minister Dr. A meeting was held with Shri Jai Shankar in his office. Dr. in the meeting. Jai Shankar said that during the tenure of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the cordial relations between the two countries are at a higher height than ever before.
